Jenna Bush Hager made Hoda Kotb cry on Today earlier this week. Don’t worry, Hager wasn’t being mean to her long-time co-host and friend.
But was sharing a story about a time her husband did something sweet for her and it got Kotb’s waterworks going.
Hager recalled that she was feeling particularly overwhelmed one day and her husband recognized it. "I remember during COVID, there was like one of those days that just was everlasting," Hager said.
Doing the show from our kitchen, feeling a little isolated, having no childcare, immediately going from the show to getting the kids on Zoom and then cooking for the millionth time.”
A few years ago she revealed that even though she’s a busy mom, she makes time each morning to write love letters to her young daughters.
I write them a special note… and I draw a little picture of the two of them doing something," she told Hager during an episode of Today.
That day it was Hager’s turn to get teary-eyed, admitting that she had "always admired" that beautiful ritual and what it undoubtedly means for Kotb’s little girls.
