Margot Robbie's 2024 Oscars Look Is Surprisingly Anti-Barbie

Every time Margot Robbie stepped onto the red carpet this year, fans scoured the look for subtle (and not-so-subtle) nods to her blockbuster movie Barbie.

Tonight at the 2024 Oscars, Robbie took her metaphorical final bow as the storied doll (unless, of course, there is a sequel). And this Barbie went out with a bang.

Robbie finished off awards season in an anti-Barbie strapless black sequin Versace gown with an arched neckline and a ruched wrinkled midsection.

The star and producer of the film added Fred Leighton jewelry to her look including a chunky diamond braided cuff and a matching ring.

Her blonde hair was worn straight but a little bit tousled with a middle part, and she kept her makeup subtle with fringed lashes and a beige lip.

Barbie is up for eight awards tonight, including the coveted Best Picture honor. However, Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were left off the ballot in their respective individual categories.

Robbie's co-stars, Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera, are nominated tonight for Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
